The Stick in the Mud is an ongoing project. The aim is to collect a decent amount of old pictures — especially old posters and photographs. Some of them are graphic, some aren’t suitable for children, and some can be considered rude, out of date and certainly out of fashion. Browse at your own risk.

Some pictures have text that is either too blurry or tiny to be read. In such cases captions and descriptions are marked with xxx — that is three times the letter x. If you have better eyes than the Stick in the Mud webmaster, please write to pete@stickinthemud.net to get your caption and/or description online. (Please remember to mention the image number you are referring to.)
